Irish National Opera to Stream ‘La Bohème’

On March 13, the Irish National Opera will livestream Puccini’s “La Bohème.”

The concert performance will star Celine Byrne as Mimì, Anna Devin as Musetta, Merūnas Vitulskis as Rodolfo, David Bizic as Marcello, Ben McAteer as Schaunard, and John Molloy as Colline. Sergio Alapont conducts Puccini’s beloved opera.

This is production will be streamed live from the stage of the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and will be showcased on the platform Dice.fm. The Irish National Opera will also showcase “La Bohème in Focus” which introduces the opera to the uninitiated. The concert will be available on-demand afterward on  March 19, 2021.

The Irish National Opera’s stream comes after the company premiered “20 Shots of Opera,” which OperaWire said was “Innovative and imaginative.”
