Iréne Theorin, Michael Volle, Tomasz Konieczny, Stefan Vinke Headline MÜPA Budapest’s June Streaming Slate

MÜPA Budapest has announced its streaming slate for the month of June.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be mainly on operatic performances, all of them coincidentally (or not) of Wagner works.

First up will be “Wagner Magic I.” which will star Iréne Theorin, Annette Dasch, Tomasz Konieczny, and Magnus Vigilius as they take on music from “Lohengrin,” “Tristan und Isolde” and “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” under the musical direction of Adam Fischer.

Streaming Date: June 13, 2021

Michael Volle and Helmut Deutsch will present a song recital full of music by Liszt and Wagner.

Streaming Date: June 14, 2021

“Wagner Magic II.” will star Schöck Atala, Gerhard Siegel, Catherine Foster, Simone Schneider, Corby Welch, Albert Dohmen, and Tomasz Konieczny. Adam Fischer leads the performance, which features music from “Der Fliegende Holländer.”

Stuart Sketlon, Albert Pesendorfer, Camilla Nylund, Johan Reuter, Schöck Atala, and Catherine Foster headline this 2019 performance of “Die Walküre.” Adam Fischer conducts.

Adam Fischer conducts a 2019 performance of “Siegfried” starring Stefan Vinke, Allison Oakes, Tomasz Konieczny, Gerhard Siegel, and Walter Fink, among others.

Streaming Date: June 19, 2021 

The Adam Fischer Ring cycle from 2019 comes to a close with “Götterdämmerung” starring Stefan Vinke, Catherine Foster, Anna Larsson, Péter Kálmán, and Lauri Vasar, among others.
