Indianapolis Opera’s 2018-19 Season To Showcase Puccini & Humperdinck

The Indianapolis Opera has announced its 2018-19 season featuring five concerts and productions. The season will also showcase some of today’s rising stars as well as old repertoire classics.

Productions

The season opens with Puccini’s timeless “La Bohème” performed at the Tarkington at The Center for the Performing Arts.

Performance Dates: Sept. 14, 15, 16, 2018

The company will also hold the Metropolitan Opera’s  National Council Auditions – Indiana District featuring some of today’s rising stars.

Performance Dates: Oct. 21, 2018

For the holiday season, IU Opera Theater will showcase Humperdinck’s favorite “Hansel and Gretel.”

Performance DatesNovember 16, 17, 2018

The company will also highlight the Indianapolis chorus in a concert featuring some of the most popular hits for chorus.

Performance Dates: Feb. 9, 10, 2019

Frederick Lowe’s “Camelot” will also make an appearance at the Schrott Center for the Arts on Butler University Campus.

Performance Dates: March 22, 23, 24, 2019
