The Arena di Verona production of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” is set to be televised and released on DVD. The date of its presentation has not been confirmed as of yet.

According to Fansdeculture, the production will be out as part of the Arena di Verona’s series with BelAir Classiques.

The current production stars Nino Machaidze portraying Rosina, Leo Nucci in the title role and Dmitry Korchak as the Count. Ferruccio Furlanetto rounds out the cast with Daniel Oren conducting.

Over the past years, the Arena di Verona has released numerous recordings of there productions including ‘Turandot” with Maria Guleghina and Salvatore Licitra, “Roméo et Juliette” with Machaidze, “Nabucco” with George Gagnidze, and “Aida” with Hui He and Fabio Sartori.

The Arena di Verona continues its festival until Sept. 1, 2018. The festival has already announced that next season Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will star in “Il Trovatore,” marking Netrebko’s debut with the festival.
