How To Watch Opening Night At Teatro Alla Scala

Today is opening night at the Teatro alla Scala and as every year the opera is scheduled to be streamed on the radio, broadcast on television and streamed to cinemas.

So how can audiences tune to into the event? Here is how!

For Italian audiences RAi 1 will showcase the video recording beginning at 17:45  Italian time while RAI 3 and RSI will stream the opera on radio. Klassikraadio will also showcase the work on radio.

European audiences can watch it in a delayed audio streaming on france musique at 20:00 as well as on BR Klassik.

Arte will showcase the opera in a delayed streaming as well and it will be on demand until March 7, 2018.

As for American audiences all radio options are available internationally but the video streams are not available.

La Scala will open with “Andrea Chenier” starring Anna Netrebko in her third opening night, Yusif Eyvazov, Annalisa Stroppa, and Luca Salsi. Riccardo Chailly will conduct the work in a new production by Mario Martone.
