How to Watch ‘Libuse’ From National Theatre Prague Via OperaVision

Smetana’s “Libuse” will be showcased on OperaVision live from the National Theatre Prague.

The work will star Iveta Jiříková, Svatopluk Sem, František Zahradníček, Jaroslav Březina, Jiří Sulženko, Jiří Brückler, Petra Alvarez Šimková, and Stanislava Jirků, among others.

Jan Burian will direct the production. Not only is he the General Director of the National Theatre Prague, but he also directs the International Theatre Festival in Pilsen and works as a Professor of Dramatic Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague

The stream kicks off at 8 p.m. local time. That’s around 2 p.m. EDT and 11 a.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until April 26, 2019.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals.
