How to Watch 2018-19 Live Stream of Vienna State Opera’s ‘Eugene Onegin’

Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, “Eugene Onegin” will hits screens around the globe as part of the Vienna State opera latest live stream event on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018.

The performance will be led by conductor Louis Langrée and will star Olga Bezsmertna, Elena Maximova, Alexey Markov, Ferruccio Furlanetto, and Dmitry Korchak. This is the penultimate performance of the opera this season with another performance slated for the 13th of October with the same cast.

The stream kicks off at 7 p.m. local time and is slated to run until around 10 p.m. That’s around 2 p.m. EDT and 11 a.m. PST for the start time.

Per the official website, tickets start at 14 euros (approximately $16 USD) and can be purchased right off the Vienna State Opera’s streaming website. There are options for monthly subscriptions to future performances on the service depending on users’ preference for experience opera from the comfort of their homes.

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “Elektra” and “Lohengrin.”
