Gregory Kunde, Javier Camarena & María Bayo To Be Showcased At Fundación Baluarte’s 2018-19 Season

Fundación Baluarte has announced its 2018-19 season, featuring two popular operas in the canon and two of the world’s greatest singers in concert. Here is a look.

Productions 

Sabina Puértolas, Antonino Siragusa, Emmanuel Franco, and Pablo Ruiz star in Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” with Antonnello Allemandi conducting.

Performance Dates: Sept. 20-22, 2018

Gregory Kunde takes on his signature “Otello” in Verdi’s late masterpiece. He is joined by frequent collaborator Ramón Tebar at the pit and soprano Svetlana Aksenova and baritone Ángel Ódena.

Performance Dates: Jan. 31-Feb. 3, 2019

Concerts

Javier Camarena gives an opera gala including music form opera and Zarzuela. Iván López Reynoso conducts the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra.

Performance Dates: Dec. 14, 2018

María Bayo is accompanied by the Ensemble In&Out  for an evening entitled “Latinos.” The program will include work by E. Lecuona, A. Piazzolla, C. Guastavino, Y. Prin and H. Villa-Lobos.
