Emily D’Angelo & Pavel Petrov Win Top Prizes At Operalia

The Operalia competition has announced that its 2018 winners.

The competition announced that the first prize winners were Belarus tenor Pavel Petrov and Canadian mezzo Emily D’Angelo.

The second prize went to Russian tenor Migran Agadzhanyan and American mezzo Samantha Hankey.

The third prize winners were given to Russian tenor Arseny Yakovlev and Canadian mezzo Rihab Chaieb.

The Zarzuela awards which are dedicated to Domingo’s parents were given to Pavel Petrov, Luis Gomes, and Emily D’Angelo.

The Cultural prize was given to Jossi Santos, who had competed for the Zarzuela award.

The Birgit Nilsson prize was awarded to Samantha Hankey and Emily D’Angelo.

The audience prize winners went to Luis Gomes and Emily D’Angelo.

All the remaining finalists were given an encouragement award of  $5,000.
