Dutch National Opera Launches Daily Streaming Service

The Dutch National Opera has launched an online streaming platform showcasing some of the company’s recent productions.

The streaming service will include opera and ballet and will also showcase arias, excerpts, and behind the scenes videos. It will also include a full dress rehearsal performance of “Ritratto,” which was filmed before the Dutch National Opera was forced to cancel the world premiere of the opera.

The company will update the platform daily revealing new works and videos for audiences to view during the coronavirus crisis.

The Dutch National Opera is the latest company to launch a streaming platform following the likes of the Teatro alla Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera, and the Bayerische Staatsoper.
