Dmitri Hvorostovsky To Be Honored At Zankel Hall

On April 22, Talents of the World will honor Dmitri Hvorostovsky for his extraordinary career in a recital at Zankel Hall.

Talents of the World’s colleagues and friends, who often performed with Hvorostovsky, will all unite for a special evening. Among the soloists who will perform include Nino Surguladze, a leading mezzo in the world, Veronica Dzhioeva, a soloist at the Bolshoi Theater, and  Raúl Melo, a Metropolitan Opera soloist.

Other guest artists include  Junhan Choi and Giovanni Formisano, winners of Talents of the World International Competition, Oleksandr Kyreiev, and Olga Lisovskaya. The singers will be accompanied by pianists Victoria Ulanovskaya and Alexandra Naumenko.

The concert’s proceeds will go to organizations, seeking to find cure for children with cancer.

Hvorostovsky passed away on Nov.. 22,2018 leaving behind a legacy. He was beloved by many of his colleagues and sang at many of the great theaters around the world. His final recording was released this past year on Delos; it was his only recording of Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” one of his siganture roles.
