DG Stage to Stream Elina Garanča’s Recital

On Sept. 19, 2020, the DG stage will stream Elina Garanča’s recital from Berlin.

The Latvian mezzo will perform Schumann’s “Frauenliebe und Leben” song cycle and a selection of Brahms Lieder wilth pianist Malcolm Martineau.

The recital will be a preview of Garanča’s new album, which will be out in November 2020.

The mezzo is an exclusive artist of Deutsche Grammophon and has recorded several albums including “Sol y Vida,” “Revive,” “Meditation,” and “Romantique.” This season, Garanča goes on a recital tour before making her role debut as Amneris at the Opera de Paris and Kundry in “Parsifal” at the Wiener Staatsoper.

The DG Stage concert is the latest in a series that has included Rolando Villazón, Anna Netrebko, Daniel Barenboim, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
