Corinne Winters Replaces Lisette Oropesa At Santa Fe Opera

The Santa Fe Opera has announced updates to its 2019 season.

After Lisette Oropesa’s announcement on her Teatro alla Scala debut, the company announced that Corinne Winters will replace Oropesa in the role of Leïla in “The Pearl Fishers.” Winters, who has performed worldwide to great acclaim, will make her role debut in the Bizet opera.

The company also announced that Tracy Dahl will sing the role of Despina in “Così fan tutte,” replacing Rebecca Evans who has withdrawn for personal reasons.

Additionally, Duane Schuler joins the creative team of “Jenůfa” as Lighting Designer, which is set to star Patricia Racette, Laura Wilde, and Suzanne Mentzer.

The Santa Fe Opera opens on June 29, 2019, with “La Boheme” and will also present The Thirteenth Child” and an evening with Renee Fleming.
