This week, audiences will have two high-profile options to choose from. The first comes from the Salzburg Festival in an acclaimed production while the second comes from an acclaimed mezzo-soprano who has obtained incredible acclaim in the past few years.
Piotr Beczala as “Faust”
A week after Piotr Beczala’s “Lohengrin” was released, Beczala’s “Faust” will be released. Recorded at the Salzburg Festival, the cast also includes Maria Agresta and Ildar Abdrazakov. When the opera premiered last summer critics said, “Piotr Beczala appeared in pristine form, wonderfully fluid in delivery and projecting more than adequate volume to fill the house when required. ” Euroarts is releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Mezzo-Soprano Marie-Claude Chappuis will release her new album “Sous L’empire D’amour” featuring music from Michael Lambert, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Gabriel Bataille and Robert Ballard. Luca Pianca accompanies Deutsche Harmonia Mondi will release the new album.
