Femmes

Marie-Jose Lord’s new album showcases a variety of heroines from operas by Puccini, Verdi, and Massenet. The Canadian soprano brings to life such wonderful operatic characters as Violetta, Aida, Cio-Cio-San, Thais, and Salome. The new CD by ATMA Classique also showcases the Orchestre symphonique de Laval under the direction of Alain Trudel.

Tristan Und Isolde

Birgit Nilsson’s legendary recording of Wagner’s masterpiece is re-released by Decca with a cast that includes Regina Resnick, Fritz Uhl, and Tom Krause. Sir Georg Solti conducts the recording with the Vienna Philharmonic.
