Bernarda Fink Headlines Concert In Teatro Mayor

Argentine mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink is set to grace the stage of the Teatro Mayor in Bogota.

Fink will join the Camarata Salzburg and maestro Gregory Ahss in a program that will include works from Arvo Pärt, Antonin Dvorak, Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert

The concert will begin with “Fratres” by Arvo Pärt, a piece which was commissioned by the Salzburg Festival and will be followed by Biblical songs by Dvorak. Fink will then perform “Schlummert ein, ihr matten Augen,” by Bach and will continue with Schubert’s Symphony No. 3.

Fink has worked with some of the great conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Valery Gergiev, Riccardo Muti, Sir Roger Norrington and Sir Simon Rattle. She performs regularly with the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin and Dresden, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Last season she performed “Pelléas et Mélisande” at the Wiener Staatsoper and this season she has dedicated her schedule to concert tours. She next performs in Katowice,  Melk, and Grafenegg before heading to the Salzburg Festival for two concerts and a masterclass.
