Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra & Bergen National Opera to Stream Mozart’s ‘La Clemenza di Tito’

The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra is set to present a new production of Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” starting on March 13, 2021.

The work will be presented Bergen National Opera and represents the final opera in Mary Miller’s tenure as Artistic and General Director for the company.

The run of the work will continue through March 19 (four total performances) with a live stream scheduled for the showcase on March 15, 2021, at 7 p.m. CET. The stream will be available for repeat viewings for one month.

The opera will be conducted by Sir Edward Gardner with a cast starring tenor Bror Magnus Tødenes in the title role and soprano Beate Mordal as Vitellia. Ingeborg Gillebo will appear as Annio with Adrian Angelico as Sesto. Frøy Hovland Holtbakk will interpret Servillia with Christian Valle as Publio.

The opera will be directed by Rodula Gaitanou. The production was originally set to premiere in the spring of 2020 but was postponed due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19.
