Anna Netrebko & Yusif Eyvazov Reveal Crossover CD ‘Romanza’

Panorama, the crossover label of Universal Group, will release “Romanza” featuring Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov on September 1st, 2017.

The new CD will be a double disk featuring 18 songs for male and female soloist, as well as duets, composed by Igor Krutoy with Italian, French, Russian, and English lyrics. Among the songs featured on the CD include “Tango Mio” and “Credo,” which Netrebko performed in Russia with the composer.

The second CD will feature selections of Netrebko’s previous recordings including arias from Puccini, Verdi, Kálmán, Lehár, Grieg, Dvořák, Rachmaninov, R. Strauss, Offenbach, Bellini, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky. It will also include Elina Garanca and Thomas Quasthoff.

Netrebko had previous previewed the recording on Instagram where she shared parts of the recording process. She also previewed the photoshoot during the process.

This is Netrebko’s latest crossover as she previously won numerous prizes for her hit single “La Voix” with Philipp Kirkorov and also did an MTV unplugged with Andreas Gablaier. In addition to Romanza, Deutsche Grammophon will release a highly anticipated “Lohengrin” with Piotr Beczala and Evelyn Herlitzius.
