By Francisco Salazar

On Feb. 28, 2019, Anna Netrebko will return to the Wiener OpernBall.

The soprano will perform alongside her husband Yusif Eyvazov and it will mark her third time performing at the famed ball.

The soprano is scheduled to perform Arditi’s “Il bacio” and “O Soave Fanciulla” from Puccini’s “La Boheme.” Meanwhile Eyvazov will perform at the ball for the first time and will sing “Nessun dorma” from Puccini’s “Turandot.”

The annual ball sees Young Women and Young Lords Committee  from 13 different countries and the tiaras for the debutantes will be designed by Donatella Versace, who was inspired by Wagner’s Ring Cycle.

Netrebko is currently performing a run of Cilea’s “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Metropolitan Opera and is headed on tour with her husband Eyvazov. In March she makes her highly anticipated role debut as Leonora in Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino” at the Royal Opera House.
