Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will perform Giordano’s “Andrea Chénier” at the Hungarian State Opera.

The news was revealed by the Instagram account La Splendida_Netrebko, which posted a picture of the scheduled concert performance on Dec. 29. Netrebko and Eyvazov will perform the concert after their scheduled performances at the Teatro Alla Scala, which will open the 2017-18 Season.

The concert performance will be conducted by their frequent collaborator Jader Bignamini and will also star Elchin Azizov as Carlo Gérard.

The couple has been previewing the opera in numerous concert performances as they have both performed the final duet and selected arias from the opera.

Netrebko next returns to La Scala for Verdi’s “La Traviata” before making her way to the Metropolitan Opera for Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin.” She is scheduled to make her role debut in the title role of Verdi’s “Aida” at the Salzburg Festival and will also make her role debut as Cilea’s “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Mariinsky Theater.

Eyvazov returns to the Bolshoi Theater for two performances of Verdi’s “Don Carlo” and two performances of Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut.” He joins Maria Guleghina in a concert later this spring and will also sing the role of  Radamès in Verdi’s “Aida.”
